This tastes kind of like those sugar filled, orange flavored drinks, that aren’t really orange juice. 🙂 My kids love this!
I want to give credit to Rashida Simpson. This was inspired by her first drink recipe … just like orange juice… in her beautiful new cookbook, Trim Healthy Future. Although, it is quite a bit different, I wouldn’t have come up with this on my own if I hadn’t first tried hers!
It’s pretty easy!
Just mix, and serve!
Makes 1 gallon. This is a Fuel Pull if following Trim Healthy Mama.
Orange Flavored Juice Drink
- 1/4 cup baobab powder
- 1/4 cup collagen
- 1/3 cup bottled lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon citric acid
- 1 Tablespoon orange extract
- 1 teaspoon stevia extract
- About 1/8 teaspoon natural powdered yellow food coloring.
- Water to equal 1 gallon.
Mix first ingredients in a bit of water to combine. Then, add water till you have a gallon. Pour over ice, if desired!
I will link the food coloring I used. Use the yellow, not the orange… unless you want it to look like carrot juice, as my first batch did!
This is fast for me to make up, and my little ones like it. It’s good to have something they like to guzzle!
